Oklahoma University School of Music to present piano recitals in honor of gift

OU Alumnus James Doran donates Bösendorfer 225 piano

The University of Oklahoma School of Music presents two piano recitals in honor of Mr. Doren’s generous donation. The Student Performers Recital begins at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 8, and the Faculty Artists Recital begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, both will take place in Pitman Recital Hall. These recitals are free and open to the public. The concerts are also available for live stream via Internet.

“ We welcome Mr. James Doran to our campus for this celebration.”, says Jane Magrath, professor of piano pedagogy. “Our piano festivities highlight our gratitude for the very generous donation to the OU School of Music by Mr. Doran of a Bösendorfer 225 piano in rare pyramid mahagony, a beautiful instrument that will enrich our performances immensely.”
