The decision to design an Audi concert grand piano was the logical consequence of the brand with the four ring’s dedication to culture.
Ultimately, there was a major celebration at the Audi Piazza in Ingolstadt, and moderator Thomas Gottschalk declared, “This is a World Championship mood.”
1800 invited guests at the Audi Piazza, among them German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Bavaria’s Prime Minister Horst Seehofer, racing legends Jacky Ickx, Walter Röhrl, Hans-Joachim Stuck and many other well-known personalities, feverishly awaited the presentation’s clandestine star: the new Audi model, an A5 Sportback. Thomas Gottschalk drove the car onto the stage, where the Audi Design Grand, which unites tradition and innovation, stood.

You could hear the sound of the Grand Piano, the musical excitement was contagious, and in the end Thomas Gottschalk sang Happy Birthday.

The atmosphere at the Audi Piazza was fantastic, and when Prime Minister Horst Seehofer pointed out to the audience that at Audi, people know that the personnel is the company’s true capital, the sensational mood could no longer be contained.

Bösendorfer made a “touching” contribution to the event!

Touching in sound – exceptional in design

The unusual collaboration in this piano of one of the auto makers best known for its technological leadership and a company world-famous for the touching sound of its instruments leads to an exceptional result.
Most striking about the new grand piano by Audi design is the closed side rim of the bass. It not only lends the instrument unusual presence and stability, it also allows it to project the bass more strongly into the auditorium. (DA)
