"Fourth Friday Mix" at Ruggero Piano, Raleigh, North Carolina

When Ruggero Piano moved to their new location a few years ago, they included a 150-seat concert hall and named it Bosendorfer Hall. Visit the next event there on 1/22.

Bosendorfer Hall was originally designed for piano teacher recitals, but soon became a popular spot for chamber concerts, fundraisers and other events. With the help of volunteer coordinator Eric Hale and house pianist Sue Timmons, for the last six years Ruggero Piano has been offering concerts every fourth Friday which are free and open to the public.

Mr. Ruggero records the events and gives copies of the recordings to the performers, who are a combination of professional musicians and enthusiasts. Musical styles vary and have included classical, broadway, jazz, new age and even Tin Pan Alley.

All instruments are welcome, with the stipulation that the piano has to be used in every piece. Supporters are notified by email and offered food and drink following the evening's performance, with time to talk with the performers.
