Chopin-Evening at Bösendorfer Downtown
Within a 10-days Chopin trip throughout Europe including events in Warsaw, Vienna, Paris and Nohant a group of the french travel agency "La Fugue Europera" was hosted at Bösendorfer Downtown Showroom.
As the only female pianist on the tour, Dory Deliyska presented a wonderful program with masterpieces of Chopin and Liszt, which demonstrated both contrasts and similarities between the two composers. The musical part was completed by snapshots from the life of Chopin as well as extracts from his letters and press articles about his performances.
Bösendorfer Downtown Showroom hosted music lovers from France, Greece and Spain.
Olivier Luciani, organiser of the whole trip, sent us the following feedback:
"We would like to thank Ursula Oberhollenzer from Bösendorfer, and Dora Deliyska, a young Bulgarian pianist, for the organisation of a private evening, at the Bösendorfer Stadtsalon / Wien, on February 27th, 2010.
Both of them created a very interesting concert/lecture, with Chopin and Liszt masterpieces (played by Dora) and letters about Chopin (read by Ursula). Our clients (French, Greek, Spanish music lovers) were very happy about this unusual venue, and learnt a lot about Chopin’s short stay in Vienna.
This was also the opportunity for us to know more about Bösendorfer pianos, history and manufacturing."
