A commencement with Mozart
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Sonata in A major, K. 331, was the first public concert in Bösendorfer's new Selection Center and simultaneously the introduction to the opening ceremony. Prof. Paul Badura-Skoda, among the great pianists of our time and Bösendorfer Ring recipient, played "his" Mozart both sensitively and powerfully on the Bösendorfer Audi Design Grand. In terms of usage, the Selection Center will primarily serve for demonstrating and playing the pianos, although it is also a wonderful place, both acoustically and in terms of design, for an occasional concert. Recording engineers have also expressed their interest in using the new Bösendorfer facility for CD recordings.

Concert hall atmosphere in 210 m2
Concert grands are generally used in large rooms. Special attention was thus given to acoustic planning of Bösendorfer's new jewel. Diffusely scattering, terraced wall and ceiling elements suppress harsh reflections and echos, without removing the sound itself via absorption. The result is a concert hall atmosphere in 210 m2. It allows the unique sonic signature of Bösendorfer pianos to develop optimally.

Impetus for the piano market
With the opening of the new Selection Center in the presence of numerous guests - among them Deputy Governor of Lower Austria Wolfgang Sobotka and mayor Bernhard Müller - Bösendorfer and its proprietor Yamaha reveal their trust in the special Viennese sound of Bösendorfer instruments and in their common strengths.
