Kit Armstrong and Alfred Brendel at the Festival of Attersee Classics 2012

This year the concert series „Attersee Classics“ again took place at the beautiful Lake Attersee in Upper Austria. This festival, which was founded in 2002, offers high class culture with interpretations of world-class artists in corporation with the International Orchestra Institute Attergau, public seminars and rehearsals with prestigious artists. Under the patronage of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the University of Music Vienna, it was possible to offer a seminar with Alfred Brendel, which gave young pianists the opportunity to look over the shoulder of the great master and o adopt some impulses of his great skills. At the end there was the final concert of the seminar participants further the final concert with Kit Armstrong (student of Alfred Brendel, who designates him „as the greatest musical talent“) and the Attersee Institute Orchestra under led by Maestro Bertrand de Billy played works of Franz Liszt, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johannes Brahms. For this year´s festival a Bösendorfer concert grand model 280 was selected, in order to bring the very colourful and touching sound to the young pianists and the audience. www.atterseeklassik.at
