Intern. Jenö Takacs Piano Competition for Young Pianists 2012 of University of Graz, Institut-Oberschützen, Austria

Final concert of the 2nd Jenö Takacs International Piano Competition for Young Pianists, University of Graz – Institute of Oberschützen (Austria-Burgenland) This year the 2nd Jenö Takacs Piano Competition for Young Pianists at the University of Graz – Institute of Oberschützen in the corporation with the International Jenö Takacs Foundation was held from October 17th to 21th 2012. The support of young talents was important for Jenö Takacs. Thus he wrote many pieces for young talents also to show ways and means for the development of a carrer as a pianist. In this sense, this piano competition originated at the University of Graz – Institute of Oberschützen (Burgenland/Austria). Bösendorfer supports young pianists as well and sponsored the special price for the best interpretation of a work from Jenö Takacs. This year´s winner is AULI LONKS from Estland. Favorite of the audience was the young Honda Rintaro. A special feature of this final concert was the performance of Busoni´s transcription of the organ work of Johann Sebastian Bach „Chaconne“ fort he additional keys of the Bösendorfer concert grand model 290 Imperial.
