Maximilian Flieder was born in Vienna in 1989 into a family of musicians. At the age of five he began playing the piano. Since 1999 he studies at the Univeristy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where Prof. Elisabeth Dvorak-Weisshaar has been his first teacher. In 2005, he continued his studies with Prof. Martin Hughes.
In 1998 Maximilian Flieder won his first piano competition and started performing in public. Since then he played scores of concerts, mainly as a soloist, but also as chamber musician.
Apart from regular appearances in the big concert houses in Vienna (Wiener Musikverein,Wiener Konzerthaus) he has also performed in many other European countries andin Asia as well. As a chambermusician he regularely plays with distinguished musicians, such as Franz Bartolomey, Daniel Froschauer or with his father Raphael Flieder.
Many solo- and chamber music-performances of Maximilian Flieder have been transmitted by the Austrian broadcast. He won first prices at the competitions „Prima la musica“ and „Musica juventutis“. Maximilian Flieder participated at master classes with Frank Wibaut, Peter Feuchtwanger and Karl-Heinz Kämmerling.
