Born in Seoul, South Korea in 1990, Pianist Sangwook Park exemplifies the best of the emerging concert artists in his country.He began studying the piano at the age of 6 as a hobby. By his tenth year however, he gave himself over completely to the piano, dedicating himself to becoming a professional musician and pianist.In a short span of time he won several national competitions including the Chopin-Junior Competition in Korea, the Daily Education of Music Competition in Korea as well as the Seuol National Piano Competition. Winning these competitions gave him many performance opportunities throughout his country, both as a solo recitalist and orchestral concerto soloist.He moved to Austria to continue studying piano with Florian Krumpock. Later at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna with Prof. Michael Krist and Since 2009 he is studying piano at Konservatorium Wien Privat Universitat with Prof. Roland Batik. He participated in many Masterclasses by Florian Krumpock, Mikhail Voskresensky, Vitaly Margulius, Andrei Jasinski etc.He is also studying Chambermusic at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna and Konservatorium Wien Privat Universitat with Prof. Teresa Leopold and the Altenberg Trio (Amiram Ganz, Claus-Christian Schuster, Alexsander Gebert). He won many prizes at international Competitions: International Franz Schubert Competition in Bulgaria (3rd Prize), International Osaka Music Competition in Japan (2nd Prize), International Chambermusic Competition ¡°Vittorio Gui¡± in Italy (Special Prize), Fidelio Competition in Austria (1. Prize). In 2010 he was finalist (5th Prize) at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria.Sangwook Park is performing many concerts throughout Europe, America, and Asia. Including the Messina International Music Festival in Italy as well as recitals in Casale Monferrato (Italy), Ariano (Italy), Dresden (Germany), Madrid (Spain) etc.As a concerto soloist, Mr. Park has performed with the St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra (Russia), Adana Symphony Orchestra (Turkey), Euro Chamber Orchestra (Italy), Maikop
