A new BÖSENDORFER Grand Imperial for Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich

Recently the Hochschule für Musik und Theater became the proud owner of a BÖSENDORFER Concert Grand Imperial (290 cm). The main reason for ordering this Viennese instrument was to offer the students a wider variety of sounds.

BÖSENDORFER offers an alternative approach to piano sounds

Prof. Michael Schäfer, who is piano teacher at the Hochschule, explained the reasons for purchasing this instrument:
"I think that a music conservatory like ours should offer the whole range of pianosounds for their students. The students should have the chance to try the best pianos of different producers in a concert. If we concentrate on one brand only the world of sounds and pianos will become impoverished. I think that Bösendorfer's contribution to have also other sounds than only the "mainstream" sound is very important."
