Ana-Marija Markovina recorded complete works of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach
on the Bösendorfer grand piano
On the occasion of 300th birthday of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, the pianist Ana-Marija Markovina recorded his compositional oeuvre for Hänssler Classic on a Boesendorfer grand piano. Thus she is the world´s first pianist who dares to do the complete recording as up to date by far not all works of CPE Bach were published. The CDs were recorded on a Boesendorfer grand piano at the University Cologne.
"This Boesendorfer is speaking. It has human voice. In the today´s recording I had a phrase in which I let loose and the sound was silver and transparent. Then I played with more power and the instrument had the sound of clavichord. I had influence on the sound in its complete intensity. This is really amazing and no other piano has this potential. Any other piano would certainly have got on my nerves during this year of recording." (Ana-Marija Markovina)
