Harriet Krijgh - "Rising Star" and her festival

Harriet & friends

Twenty-three years old Dutch cellist Harriet Krijgh is one today´s most exciting and promising young cellists. Harriet was chosen for the "Rising Star" series of the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) for the 2015/16 season and was nominated by the Musikverein Vienna and the Konzerthaus Vienna.
She has a small but very fine chamber music festival on the Castle of Feistritz, in the south of Lower Austria, "Harriet & friends". Every year she invites artists and friends to this festival to bring new life to e.g. the old riding school of the castle. Many well-known pianists, such as Dora Deliyska, Magda Amara, Nino Gvetadze and the jazz pianist Florian Nentwich played on the unique Bösendorfer concert grand, and praised this instrument for the musical possibilities and rich timbre.
