Julian Rachlin, Sir Roger Moore and John Malkovich in Dubrovnik
The Chamber music festival 2008 took place in Dubrovnik from 2nd to 14th September, featuring many renowned musicians in the world chamber music. The Bösendorfer 280 Concert Grand was placed at the disposal of Klavierhaus Weinberger and Bösendorfer.

The story about the Chamber music festival “Julian Rachlin & Friends” started in 2000 as Maestro Julian Rachlin performed for the first time at Dubrovnik Summer Festival. It was love at first sight when he arrived in Dubrovnik. One year later the first chamber music festival entitled “Julian Rachlin & Friends” took place. Now eight years later some of the most famous musicians in the world come to Dubrovnik as guest performers at the Festival, e.g. Mischa Maisky, Itamar Golan, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Hollywood actors Sir Roger Moore and John Malkovich and the pianist Martha Argerich. The concerts were performed on several locations of the town of Dubrovnik.
Alberto Iglesias, famous Spanisch composer, known for his music written for Pedro Almodovar´s films, presented two of his compositions. The Hollywood actor John Malkovich took part in it as narrator. The Festival ended with the special project entitled “Sir Roger Moore reads letters by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart”.
Amongst all these stars the Bösendorfer 280 Concert Grand was placed at Rector´s Palace of Dubrovnik.
In the last years “Julian Rachlin & Friends” has become a mandatory music and cultural event on the map of Europe.
