Markson Pianos and Bösendorfer presenting the new 280VC Vienna Concert Grand at Conway Hall, London

London, 7th of March: An exceptionally rare opportunity for piano fans, technicians and music lovers to experience an all-day piano spectacular courtesy of Bösendorfer and Markson Pianos at London’s famed Conway Hall on March 7th - the only UK unveiling of the eagerly anticipated 280VC - Vienna Concert - Concert Grand piano and the 214VC 7’ Grand Piano.

Markson Pianos and Bösendorfer have decided to invite the general public to what would normally be a ‘Behind Closed Doors VIP’ event offering a unique insight into the creation of these new generation world-class instruments.

Guests will experience a recital from the acclaimed young Polish pianist Aleksandra Mikulska, a brilliant and highly distinctive performer at the vanguard of the next generation of new world-class artists. The winner of the special prize for best Polish female pianist at the XV International Chopin competition in Warsaw, Aleksandra will provide a varied and inspiring programme showcasing all of the sonic aspects and characteristics of these new pianos. Aleksandra’s recital will be complemented by a presentation by Ferdinand Bräu, Bösendorfer’s senior designer and member of the development team behind the concept and creation of these pianos. He’ll provide guests with the background to the design and tonal attributes of the piano rarely offered to the general public.

For guests with a particular interest in the actual production of pianos there’s a special technical session during the day, this aspect will especially appeal to piano technicians and will be followed by an opportunity to try the pianos at first hand.

The event is free of charge, runs from 11:00 to 15:00, demand is expected to be high and immediate so book your place now and RSVP to thomas.haydney@music.yamaha.com by 27th February.
