The International Beethoven Piano Competition, an event that has been classified as guaranteeing the highest artistic renown and standard, will be organised by the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna for the fifteenth time in May / June 2017. Presenting works of Ludwig van Beethoven exclusively makes this contest unique.

Participating


The 15th International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna takes place from May 28 – June 8, 2017. Pianists of all nationalities born between January 1, 1985 and December 31, 2000 are eligible.

The Competition is divided into International Auditions in January / February 2017 in New York City, Tokyo, Berlin, Bonn, London, Vienna.

First Round at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna ( May 29 – June 4, 2017 )
Second Round at the Brahms Hall of Musikverein Vienna ( June 5–6, 2017 )
Finale with Orchestra in the Golden Hall of Musikverein Vienna ( June 8, 2017 )

The International Beethoven Competition is a unique platform for young, aspiring pianist from all over the world. Listen in to the interpretations of international talents presenting their skill and passion in music at stage in the the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein. The final concert in the name of Beethoven.
