Stephen Hough - pianist, composer, author and artist plays the Nocturne in F sharp major, op. 15, No. 2 by Frédéric Chopin, recorded by Gramophone at the Bristol Hotel in Vienna.
Stephen Hough loves to play with words and images. In an interview for the Gramophone Magazine he said of the Bösendorfer 280VC Vienna Concert in Helsinki, it was “like a mango that is hard when you buy it but after a day you feel the resistance is going, the skin’s giving way and you peel it open and you’re just in ecstasy with the flavour and the juice is dribbling down your chin.”
