Judith Jáuregui


Singled out by critics as a luminous, elegant and personal artist, Judith Jáuregui has become one of the most sought-after figures of the Spanish musical scene. Born in San Sebastian in 1985, her talent shone through at a very early age and led to her debut recital when she was only eleven. A familiar figure on the main Spanish stages, including the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, the Barcelona Auditori, Festival of Granada, Peralada, Musika-Música and the San Sebastián Musical Fortnight amongst others, Judith has been invited to leading international festivals and concert halls such as La Roque d'Anthéron International Piano Festival, La Folle Journée de Nantes, the Lille Piano Festival and the Montpellier Festival in France, the Murten Classics Festival in Switzerland where she has been artist in residence in its latest edition, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing as well as Tokyo's Suntory Hall, where she gave the final concert of a recent tour of Japan with the Spanish National Orchestra. Likewise she has collaborated with the Castile and Leon Symphony Orchestra, the Bilbao Symphony, the Murcia Symphony, the Comunidad de Madrid Orchestra,

the Oviedo Filarmonia, as well as with prestigious international ensembles including the Prague Philharmonia, Das Neue Orchester of Cologne, the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, the Slovak Sinfonietta and the Simón Bolívar Orchestra of Venezuela, having the opportunity to work with acclaimed conductors like Andrey Boreyko, Marc Soustrot, Diego Matheuz, Antonio Méndez, Jaime Martín, Victor Pablo Pérez, Christoph Spering and Kaspar Zehnder. Involved in chamber music, Judith Jáuregui has currently projects with different ensembles or musicians like the German Signum Quartett, the Spanish violinist Lina Tur Bonet or the Franco-Swiss cellist Nadège Rochat. Additionally, her belief that music moves beyond any stylistic border has prompted her to share a classical and latin jazz fusion project with the Cuban pianist Pepe Rivero.  Her numerous recordings were honored with diverse awards and prizes. Some of her higlights are performances in Paris, London, a China tour and other concerts in Spain, France and Germany.
