Bösendorfer Amadeus Piano&Soul Competition
Organised by the AMADEUS Festival Vienna in collaboration with Bösendorfer Salon, the competition welcomes aspiring musicians aged 15 to 35, emphasizing the Salon Music genre.

Organised by the AMADEUS Festival Vienna in collaboration with Bösendorfer Salon, the competition welcomes aspiring musicians aged 15 to 35, emphasizing the Salon Music genre.
AMADEUS Pianos&Soul-Competition 2024
AMADEUS Festival Vienna in collaboration with Bösendorfer Salon, announces the first International Salon Music Piano Competition, “Pianos&Soul”, to give visibility, promote and support the best talented young musicians from all over the world, as well as to bring the charms of “Salon Piano Music” to life again.
The competition features 4 distinct awards, with the Grand Prize winner appointed as a Bösendorfer-AMADEUS Young Artist along with a cash prize (5,000 EUR).
To enter the competition's initial round, participants are required to submit recordings of themselves performing a selection of solo piano works from memory.
Shortlisted candidates will then have the opportunity for a personal interview with the competition's patrons, Mrs Karen Goh and Dr Wilson Goh.
The finalists will be invited to the final competition of the AMADEUS Festival Vienna on 28 June 2024.
The application window spans from 08 January until 11 March 2024.
