Bösendorfer-Cycle at Haus der Ingenieure

In the days of our founding fathers Ignaz and Ludwig Bösendorfer, it was part of the tradition of the great piano manufacturers to have their own concert halls built. In this way, they were able to have their instruments presented in the best possible acoustic light by some of the most famous virtuosos and, at the same time, significantly influence the musical life of a city by acting as concert promoters. Ludwig Bösendorfer also once established the legendary Bösendorfer Hall at Herrengasse 11, where such artistic greats as Liszt, Chopin, Brahms, Rubinstein and many others gave concerts. This wonderful tradition is now to be revived in the House of Engineers, built in 1870. Together with you and outstanding international pianists, we would like to create a place in the heart of Vienna for encounters and exchanges between artists, the public and our piano manufactory, which in the best case will become a small rebirth.

Bösendorfer Cycle - Season 2023/24

The wonderful tradition of enlivening a concert hall with music is now being revived for the second season in the Haus der Ingenieure at Eschenbachgasse 9, which is located not far from the original Bösendorfer Hall and was built in 1870. Together with you and outstanding international pianists, we would once again like to create a place of encounter and exchange between artists, the audience and our piano manufactory after a successful inaugural season in the heart of Vienna.
